According to the guardian, Aung San Suu Kyi has been detained by the Myanmar military since February 1 this year. The prosecution has filed a number of criminal charges against Aung San Suu Kyi, including illegal import of walkie talkies, violation of epidemic related regulations, improper handling of state secrets, intention to incite rebellion and corruption. The reconstituted Election Commission of the union of Myanmar also announced on November 15 that 16 persons suspected of fraud in the 2020 general election, including Aung San Suu Kyi, would be formally prosecuted for "abuse of power".
In response to Aung San Suu Kyi's accusation of "sedition", the Myanmar court has held several sessions to hear the prosecution witnesses and will make a judgment on November 30. Aung San Suu Kyi had been under house arrest for 15 years during the rule of the military government. She was released in 2010.
